How much does Accelerated Deliveries Charge to move?

Generally speaking moving companies in Huntersville start at around $300. The cost of moving will vary depending on many factors and needs. If your move is less than 35 miles in distance the cost will be based on hourly. On the otherhand moves over 35 miles can be charged a flat binding rate or by weight.  If your being charged by weight the exact cost of your move cannot be determined until after your shipment has been loaded on the truck and weighed. There maybe additional charges.

 

How soon should I book with a moving company?

On Intrastate moves in charlotte Accelerated Deliveries charges by the hour. We typically will not offer a binding estimate.

 

How and when should I pay?

Payment for your Move can be made by one of the following methods: cash, personal check, traveler’s check, money order or cashier’s check. In addition, the American Express® Card, Discover® Card, Visa® or MasterCard® can be used to pay for moves, with advance approval required prior to loading (unless other billing arrangements have been made). All payment forms apply to both binding and non-binding estimates. If you have received a non-binding estimate and your actual moving costs exceed the estimate, you will be required to pay no more than 110% of the estimated cost at delivery. Should your actual costs exceed the estimate by more than 10%, you will be given 30 days after delivery to pay the amount over 110%. 

 

Can Accelerated Deliveries move anything?

Accelerated Deliveries can move almost everything. We are not allowed to transport any pets, liquids, combustibles, fuel, propane, live plants, guns / ammo or lamps (the lamp shades need to be in boxes and light bulbs removed), any boxes that are not sealed. We do reserve the right to refuse moving any pressboard style furniture, unless customers releases a risk of liability. Also any items packed in boxes by the customer are moved at their own liability.  

 

Am I protected against loss or damage during my move?

Yes, but how much protection you have and its cost to you depend upon the value program you choose – Full-Value Protection or Basic Value (60 cents per pound per article). The valuation option you select determines the basis upon which any claim will be adjusted and establishes the maximum liability of Accelerated Deliveries.  Valuation is not insurance; it is simply a tariff-based level of motor carrier liability. If you desire insurance, you should consult your insurance company representative about available insurance coverages, because Accelerated Deliveries does not offer insurance. 

 

Whats the difference between Full Value Protection and Basic Value Protection?

Full Value Protection  The moving company will 1) repair the article to the extent necessary to restore it to the same condition as when it was received by Accelerated Deliveries or pay you for the cost of such repairs; or 2) replace the article with an article of like kind and quality or pay you for the cost of such a replacement. An additional charge applies for this option and is included upfront in every estimate. In the event Accelerated Deliveries will determine the appropriate settlement method to be used. Accelerated Deliveries total liability for loss or damage will not exceed the amount you declare as the value of your shipment. However, the minimum total declared value must be at least equal to the weight of your shipment multiplied by $6.00 per pound. Basic Value Protection With this type of valuation, Movers maximum liability for loss or damage to any article in the shipment is 60 cents multiplied by the weight of the article. This is the basic liability level and is provided at no charge.
